World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade
Item upgrade allows players to increase the level of weapons and armor that are equippable. This boosts the stats of that equipment, in addition to sometimes adding buffs or rolling an affix again.
It is important to remember that upgrading magic and common gear isn't always worth the cost. Rare and Unique gear will quickly outclass upgraded magic and common gear.
Cost
The player has to spend gold to upgrade an item. The cost of upgrading an item depends on its current level and upgrade type selected. Upgrades to weapons are typically cheaper than upgrades for armor, since weapons have lower requirements. The amount of Gold required for upgrading an item increases as the item is upgraded.
Upgraded items also come with enhanced stats that can boost its performance in different ways. This could mean increasing its attack power and critical strike chance or damage per second. A upgraded item can also add additional benefits to the weapon it is equipped with. These upgrades are able to be used for a variety of reasons for example, to increase the overall power of a group or individual unit. They also can have a major impact on gameplay.
Items can be upgraded at any NPC that is an upgrader in the game. In general, these NPCs are located in major cities or questing locations. You can also find upgrades for items by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses and talking to NPCs in garrisons of your faction.
The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players improve the quality of armor, weapons and trinkets. This procedure is similar to the reforging process used in Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor. However instead of using currency, players have to visit an item upgrader to complete the process.
Upgrades to items can be costly, particularly when it concerns armor and weapons. Depending on which upgrade track you select, each item level increase can cost Crests or Valorstones. The total costs can be prohibitive for players who do not have the resources or are unable to grind them.
Fortunately the game allows players to play a reroll of an upgraded item by using an exclusive tool within the menu for items. This option allows you to exchange the upgraded item with an equivalent version at level 1 with an additional set of bonus effects. This is useful to improve the roll of items that have already been upgraded. However, it could also be a waste.
Requirements
The process of upgrading equippable items such as weapons, armor and trinkets is to raise the level of the item. This increases their power and makes them more effective in combat. Players can upgrade their gear by spending the appropriate amount of currency at an upgrader. However, they should be aware that certain upgrades require special requirements.
Early upgrades increase the stats of the base item by one level. Later upgrades offer more significant enhancements. Upgrades from levels 3 to 6 will boost the weapon's damage by two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on its level. This bonus is a combination of a guaranteed additional substat and a random stat that will vary in value from upgrade to upgrade.
A player can roll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a brand new one. The new item will have an additional set of bonuses, as well as an lower base level. The rerolled item will have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the item rerolled will not be able to maintain its strength or have any of its wasted resources.
Some upgraded items are only able to be rerolled if the original item was Unique Epic, Rare, or Rare. Additionally, exceptional items can be rerolled, however the original stats are replaced with a flat-rate bonus. Rerolling an item that is Rare or Epic item will produce the normal version, and rerolling the Epic version will result in an elite version.

A newly upgraded item could include additional modifiers that can increase the stats of the item and boost its performance. These additional modifiers aren't included in the upgrade price. They can be acquired by questing, buying them on the Trading Post or from other players. They can be earned through completing specific missions in the game.
To upgrade an equipment piece, you need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. You will need Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 are dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 is dropped by Bosses). Additionally, you will require different quantities of Minerals and Erons.
Time
Upgrades to items can be used to boost the performance of your gear and ship without having to level them. They're not cheap, but they are a good way to boost your stats and not have to spend a lot of time fighting. It's essential to understand the cost and benefits of item upgrades before investing your money or time.
Each upgrade boosts the stats of an item by a specific amount, and also offers the chance for a bonus stat increase. The extra substat is random and may range from a slight increase in one statistic to a larger increase in another. It is best to concentrate on the top-performing items in your slot first, as they'll give you a bigger return on your investment.
You can see the time it takes to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting a weapon, ship, or other accessory. The upgrade window will show the estimated completion time and the progress. In some instances you might be in a position to speed up the process by using a Glyph.
Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage offer a salvage kit which allows you to salvage all or a portion upgrade components. This does not apply to legendary equipment or upgrades that can only be recovered with an upgrade extractor or making a claim with the appropriate Karma retailer.
Rewards
Upgrades to items reward players with a number of items and currency. In addition, each upgrade has a chance to give a random stat bonus. The amount of bonus value differs between upgrades and is typically higher for rare items. The Great Vault can be searched by players to determine whether an item can be upgraded. The search will help determine whether the item is of a specific class and whether the player would benefit by a particular upgrade.
During the upgrade process, the item will slowly move closer to the next level but it is not always able to reach its maximum upgrade bar. This process uses Growthstones and Sollant and Sollant, but there's an opportunity to get a fully upgraded item with only one cycle of growth. The higher the level an item receives the higher its boosted stat value and the more items it is able to upgrade to.
Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, armor, and weapons in order to gain an attribute bonus or a special effect, when the equipment is worn. Some upgrade components have additional cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade components by crafting, buying from vendors, or at the Trading Post, looting, or receiving as an incentive. Players can also retrieve upgraded items using an Upgrade extractor or salvaging with a high tier salvage kit. Glyphs, which are stored in gathering tools, can be freely swapped out without restrictions.
A player can turn an item into a different upgradeable item by selecting it and pressing the green button with a reroll arrow. This alters the layout of the item window and allow players to choose up to six items to "recycle". The item that is recycled will be exchanged with an item of level 1 of the same kind. Recycled items will not keep their current level or amount of resources needed to upgrade them.
The highest level of upgrade an item can achieve is determined by its tier and quality. Common items can be upgraded to the maximum level of six while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded up to level nine. The item upgrade s are added to the base stats of the item. This means that they won't increase in the future after a certain level.
